Princess Pea recently exhibited at New Wine, a Christian festival.

The work is inspired by our connectedness to nature, each other and God, and aims to break the bondage of destructive self-image. Tiaras are traditionally the sign of royalty and riches, and as Christians we are children of the King of Kings- real princesses. (Romans 8:17)

We often come to God with false perceptions of ourselves and clouded ideas about how God sees us. Each tiara is designed to challenge our self-perception on a particular issue and help us to view ourselves (in the mirror) how God sees us. In the act of putting them on we claim these truths for ourselves.
