F.A.Q.

Where do you get your jewellery from?

All our tiaras are handmade in the UK by jewellery designer Jenna Burne, working from her studio in the Cotswolds. You can read more about Jenna in About Us.

What is your jewellery made from?

All our tiaras are handmade from the finest materials. We use silver plated or gold plated comfort-fit bases, with gold or silver plated wire. The beads we use depends on the exact tiara in question, but include real freshwater pearls, Swarovski pearls and crystals, cast metal beads and sterling silver beads.

What’s all this about “Swarovski crystal”?

Swarovski crystal is not cut glass, nor is it naturally occurring rock crystal. Swarovski Crystal is a man made crystal, it is man made at the factory in Austria using a basic formulae perfected by Daniel Swarovski and his three sons. Swarovski crystal is more expensive than glass because of its higher density and purity. The factor that sets genuine Swarovski crystal products apart from its competitors is -and always has been – the superior quality of the cutting and polishing.

Swarovski Crystals come in over 50 different colours. Email us with “colour chart” in the title and we will email you right back with a colour chart so you can choose your colour. We’ll even send you up to 5 sample beads free if you want to be absolutely sure you get the right colour.
